Upcoming Appearance - Saint Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 16, 2008

I have been invited to participate in the Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade, the second largest in the country. Parade organizers said they expect 850,000 people to attend the parade, which will be held 1 p.m. Sunday and will last approximately three hours. The parade will begin in Gillette Park at the Broadway T station and end in Andrew Square on Southampton Street, spanning 3.2 miles. Floats featuring clowns and 37 bands from Massachusetts, Canada and Ireland will sound their flutes, fifes, pipes and drums.

Head on out to Broadway in South Boston at 1 pm on Sunday, March 16! This year's 108th annual parade honors the 'Men and Women of the Armed Forces' and features marching bands and pipe bands from throughout America. South Boston is Boston's most Irish neighborhood, and has a glorious tradition of helping others while keeping Irish heritage alive. The parade committee is led by John Hurley, a Navy veteran and South Boston native.
