Ms. Wheelchair America 2009
will be in the Rose Parade, not at the Rose Parade!!!
MWA and the Kiwanis have created an exciting collaboration, resulting in the next Ms Wheechair America national titleholder being invited to be ON the Kiwanis float in the 2009 Rose Parade!
I met with the President of the International Kiwanis Club, Dave Curry (above), Rose Float Builder's Administrator Larry Maddick (below), and other members of MWA in January when I went out to Pasedena to participate in this year's Rose Bowl festivities. The Kiwanis were extremely impressed with MWA and eagerly agreed that we should form a partnership to have Ms Wheelchair America in the Rose Parade next year! This is such groundbreaking, exciting news!!! We shored things up in May when I met with Larry Maddick again at the Abilities Expo in Anaheim. (Check out our YouTube Interview - right)
